Whilst many cyclist enjoy the challenge of planning a ride for the day, we have tried to help all of you, from absolute beginners to advanced groups make the most of their day.
The Isle of Wight offers an incredible range of cycling to suit all abilities but please note whilst some of the Island is gentle and rolling, the south of the island can be very challenging and is not for beginners. Basing yourself in Cowes allows you to cycle to any ability in one of the many routes that lead from here.

The Red Squirrel Trail
The Red Squirrel Trail is the new name for the re-branded and combined Sustrans route 23 and the Sunshine Trail.
Route length- 23.23 M from E Cowes to the end of the "Sunshine Loop" section at Merstone.
